Frequently Asked Questions

How old do I need to be to join SpeedCamp?

We have experience working with players as young as 8 years old. When evaluating whether a player is a good fit for our coaching program, we prioritise their comprehension ability over their age. So, if a young player can focus and listen attentively, we would consider them suitable for our coaching program. However, we understand that coaching and communicating with younger players require a different approach – therefore, we would adjust our style of coaching to ensure sessions are fun yet effective at the same time.

Why do I have to do the Analysis & Profiling session?

Our analysis and profiling session is designed to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the player (as a fast bowler and athlete). This is crucial in developing a program tailored to the athlete's needs. Without an analysis and profiling session, a coach would only make assumptions about what the athlete needs to improve. A compulsory profiling and analysis session is required to ensure the accuracy of our coaches' advice and programmes.

What happens after the Analysis & Profiling session?

After the profiling and analysis session, you will receive a detailed written report highlighting your strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. You will then have the option to work through the recommendations on your own or continue coaching with SpeedCamp. We encourage athletes to consider continuing with coaching after the analysis session as it will give them a clear understanding of how we work, and both the athlete and coach will have the opportunity to assess whether there is a good rapport and chemistry between them for progress.

Why are your fees higher than others?

Our fees reflect the high level of service, expertise, and access to the most exclusive and advanced technology that we provide. Additionally, we offer strictly one-to-one sessions to ensure that our athletes receive undivided attention and maximum contact time with a coach.

If you're interested in a small group session for a reduced fee, please let us know.

How will the ForceDecks help me?

Many fast bowlers who are dedicated to improving their skills are incorporating Strength & Conditioning training into their routine. However, without ForceDecks, it can be challenging to determine if your limiting factor is strength, power, speed, or elasticity. We use ForceDecks technology as part of our comprehensive testing battery, including the Dynamic Strength Index, which can identify the type of training an athlete should prioritise. With ForceDecks, athletes can accurately answer this question and focus on the appropriate training to enhance their performance.
